Silver covers injuries only. If you want help with sickness bills too — the coughs, the infections, the things that turn up on a Tuesday — you need Gold or Platinum.

What we pay, and what you pay

No deductible. No paperwork. No surprises at the counter.

  • Injuries

    You pay nothing. We settle with the clinic up to your plan's annual limit.

  • Sickness on Gold

    We pay 10% of the bill, on the spot, every visit – surgery included. However many visits. However big the bill.

  • Sickness on Platinum

    We pay 15% of every sickness bill, on the spot, every visit – surgery and lab work included.

  • Already unwell?

    Still covered. We don't ask what came before.

  • Medicines

    For a covered injury, medicines are paid in full. On sickness visits, medicines and pet food (including prescription diets) are paid by you – our share applies to everything else on the bill.

  • If a bill runs past your limit

    You pay only the difference. Nothing hidden, nothing clever.

What it actually looks like

  • Your dog breaks a leg.

    X-rays, surgery, two nights at the clinic, medication — 420 KWD. On any plan, you pay nothing. The clinic bills us.

  • Your cat has a stomach infection.

    Consultation and tests come to 50 KWD, and medicine to 10 KWD. On Gold we pay 5 and you pay 55. On Platinum we pay 7.500 and you pay 52.500. Next visit, we do the same. There is no cap on how often.

  • A big injury on Silver.

    The bill comes to 640 KWD and your annual limit is 500. We pay 500, you pay 140. That is the whole of it.

We pay on bills issued by our approved clinics and hospitals. If the clinic doesn't have a medicine for a covered injury in stock and you buy it from a pharmacy outside, that purchase isn't covered – so please ask at reception first.

Be ready

Any breed, any size, and any age

Cats and dogs only — our apologies to the parrots, the rabbits and the one very determined tortoise. Beyond that we're not fussy. No vet check, no health questionnaire, no upper age limit, no breed list.

What does SOCIPET cover?
Injury treatment in full, up to your plan's annual limit. On Gold and Platinum we also pay a share of every sickness bill – 10% on Gold, 15% on Platinum, surgery included. Medicines and food on sickness visits are paid by you.
When does my cover start?
Sickness cover the moment you pay. Injury cover 72 hours later.
My cat already has a condition. Is she covered?
Yes. On Gold and Platinum we cover sickness whatever the condition and whenever it started, including before you bought the policy. No questionnaire, no vet report, no argument.
How much can I claim in a year?
Injury treatment up to 500 KWD on Silver, 1,000 on Gold, 1,500 on Platinum, per place. The sickness share has no annual cap at all.
Do I pay a deductible?
None. Your pet also pays no rent, which we think is generous of you.
How do I claim?
You don't. Give your Civil ID at reception and the clinic bills us directly. Tell the vet what happened: when, where and how your pet was hurt. The vet records the type, cause and timing of every injury. For sickness, we pay our share as soon as the bill is issued.
What if the bill is more than my limit?
You pay the difference and nothing else.
Which pets can I insure?
Cats and dogs — any breed, any size, any age. Add as many as you like to one policy. Each pet carries their own annual limit, so one pet's bad year doesn't eat another's cover.
Where can my pet be treated?
At the approved clinics and hospitals on the Approved clinics page of this website, with their addresses, hours and phone numbers. Treatment anywhere else isn't covered, so email info@societaskw.com first if you're unsure. If the clinic doesn't stock a medicine for a covered injury and you buy it from an outside pharmacy, that purchase isn't covered either.
How long is follow-up covered after an injury?
Two weeks from the initial treatment.
What isn't covered?
Injuries that existed before your cover began. Self-inflicted injuries. Injuries from organised or deliberate fighting. Injuries arising from an owner's neglect or reckless behaviour. Routine care, vaccinations and preventative treatment. Castration. Treatment outside Kuwait or at any clinic or hospital that is not on the approved list. Medicines and food on sickness visits. Death from any cause, and anything arising from it.
Can I get my money back if my pet stays healthy?
The premium isn't refundable. We'd rather you never needed us.
